David N. Baumgartner
David N. Baumgartner was raised in Berne, Indiana, and graduated from South Adams High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Economics from Bluffton University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Dave was admitted to the practice of law in 1985 in the State of Indiana, and in the United States District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is a member of the Adams County Bar Association, the Probate, Trust & Real Property Section and Elder Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association, and the American Agricultural Law Association.
Dave is married to Tanya Lehman Baumgartner, and they have three married children and six grandchildren. Following college and law school, Dave and Tanya chose to return to their roots in Berne as a desirable place to raise a family. Dave presently serves as the Berne City Attorney, and he formerly served as the Geneva Town Attorney for thirteen years. Dave serves as a member of the Berne Rotary Club, President of Berne Community Development Corporation, and Board Chair of First Bank of Berne, and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Bluffton University.
